Márta (documentary)
The documentary is about my grandmother, Márta Mészáros, who was the first female director to win the Golden Bear at the Berlinale. She made 27 feature films, and at the age of 90, she still wants to make her 28th. It offers an intimate portrait of her and her twin sisters. In the 1940s, they became orphans in the Soviet Union. After the war, they lived separate lives for many years, but now they are reunited. In addition to capturing Márta's personality, I also portray the complex love-hate relationship between the three sisters. At one point, the film transforms into a Chekhovian reality show, as the sisters attempt to come to terms with their past in their own unique ways.
